Refresh and Regenerate Your Radiance with Radiesse

Skin Rejuvenation Treatments

At Juvea Aesthetics, we proudly offer Radiesse Treatments in Calgary to help our patients achieve radiant, more youthful skin with minimal downtime and natural-looking, long-lasting results.

As we age, we begin to lose collagen – a key protein that provides the structure, volume and elasticity that are the hallmarks of glowing skin. It starts in our mid-20’s and accelerates as we enter into our 30’s, 40’s and beyond. It’s a natural occurrence of aging in both men and women caused by hormonal changes, genetics, sun damage/exposure, pollution, and other lifestyle factors.

While we can’t stop the aging process, there are things that can be done to slow it down and improve the appearance of our skin! Radiesse is just one solution offered by Juvea that does both.

The Radiesse Glow

Radiesse delivers smoother, firmer, more radiant and luminous skin over time.

Immediate Volume & Lift

Radiesse instantly delivers filling, smoothing and sculpting effects without looking overdone.

Lasting, Long-Term Results

Radiesse stimulates collagen and elastin to improve skin quality over time, with results lasting up to 18 months.

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a revolutionary and highly versatile injectable dermal filler and biostimulator made up of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. Unlike Hyaluronic Acid (HA)-based dermal fillers that are limited to temporarily adding volume to smooth wrinkles and enhance facial contours, Radiesse goes a step further by actively stimulating collagen production for long-term skin rejuvenation.

Ideal for individuals seeking natural-looking results, Radiesse effectively smooths deep wrinkles and folds, restores lost volume, sculpts and contours areas like the cheeks and jawline, and rejuvenates the appearance of aging hands.

More than a dermal filler, Radiesse continues to improve skin quality even months after treatment, delivering a refreshed, youthful glow that can last up to 18 months.

Radiesse vs Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Dermal Fillers: What’s the Difference?

When comparing Radiesse to traditional dermal fillers like hyaluronic acid (HA) products, the key difference lies in Radiesse’s dual-action benefits. While most dermal fillers focus solely on immediately adding volume to smooth wrinkles and enhance facial contours, Radiesse goes a step further by actively stimulating collagen and elastin production for long-term, lasting skin rejuvenation.

Composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, Radiesse delivers instant lift and structure while also encouraging your body to rebuild natural collagen, resulting in firmer, more youthful skin over time. Traditional HA-based fillers provide temporary results that gradually fade as the filler material is absorbed, whereas Radiesse continues working beneath the skin for results that can last up to 18 months or more. As well, Radiesse has a higher elasticity and viscosity than HA-based fillers, making its filler component least likely to spread or migrate from the injection area.

Despite its general versatility and other multiple benefits, Radiesse isn’t always the best choice! It all depends on your particular areas of concern and other factors. For example: Unlike HA-based fillers, Radiesse isn’t suitable for the delicate eye areas or for lip enhancement.

Radiesse® vs Sculptra®: What's the Difference?

Radiesse and Sculptra are both popular long-lasting skin rejuvenation options, but they work in different ways and offer unique benefits.

While both are biostimulators that stimulate collagen production to help improve skin quality, tone and texture over time, Radiesse’s calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) formulation also provides immediate volume, lift, and contouring effects. In contrast, Sculptra’s poly L-lactic Acid (PLLA) formulation doesn’t provide the same instant enhancement. Another key difference is that Radiesse triggers the production of five different types of collagens and elastins, while Sculptra primarily stimulates two types of collagens.

Radiesse’s dual-action benefits and advanced collagen stimulating properties make it a popular choice for patients seeking both instant volume and long-term collagen regeneration in areas such as the face, hands, and neck.
