Lip Injections in Calgary

Add volume, definition and balance to your lips while perfecting your facial features and symmetry with lip injections in Calgary. Lip fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body, meaning these injectables enhance your natural beauty, not tamper with them. And, it’s impossible to have an adverse reaction to a substance that naturally occurs in the body. Our professionals will contour your lip, bringing forth long-lasting, natural results.

Results

You’ll experience and enjoy fuller, more volume-infused lips soon after the treatment. The longevity of results depends on the lip filler used, but most hyaluronic acid-based fillers last about six to nine months.

Everyone is unique in their own way, and therefore, the number of injections varies from person to person. Considering that the treatment area is smaller than the chin or neck where Botoxis used, you will require fewer injections. Our professionals will explain how many injections you’ll need and which type during our consultation.

Botox™ is made with the purified protein clostridium botulinum, which blocks the nerve signals of weakening muscles, and smoothes wrinkles and lines. Lip injections are similar to dermal fillers and are made with hyaluronic acid, which enhances plumpness. You can still use Botox™ to smooth out wrinkles and lines on the top and corner of your lips.

The most common side-effects are redness and swelling at the injection site, which should last for a few days to a maximum of a week. It’s rare that you’ll experience any adverse reaction to the injection, as it is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance made in the body. This reduces the risk of rejection.

Treatment usually takes around 20 minutes in total, depending on the treatment area and the number of injections.

We use various products, depending on the Filler Rheology needed for our clients. The injections we choose depends on your facial structures, including tissues, skin, fat, and bone, so we get the best, most organic results for you. We offer Prollenium’s Revanesse™, Clarion’s Teoxane™ and Galderma’s Restylane™ as lip fillers at our Calgary and Edmonton locations.

Pre-Treatment Care

Pre-Treatment Care

Do not use vitamins, herbal supplements or anti-inflammatory medications (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil) two weeks before the treatment, as this can increase the risk of bruising. Please let our professionals know if you have a history of cold sores.

Post-Treatment Care

Post-Treatment Care

Your lips will most likely be red and slightly swollen for a few days, possibly even bruised. Reduce pain by applying a cold compress. Avoid picking or poking the site, as well as strenuous exercise and excessive heat for a few days.
